Taxman 94% of Way to 2021 Target

PHNOM PENH: The General Department of Taxation, GDT, has collected 8,549 billion riel (approximately $2.1-billion) in tax revenue in the first nine months of this year. The figure represents 94.12% of its 2021 target. It was shared during an online meeting of the GDT, chaired under the presidency of its Director General, Kong Vibol.

He has advised his team to continue implementing government’s in-depth reform policy through key measures including strengthening and managing tax reforms, enhancing the e-filing system and reinforcing tax collection. The Royal Government has targeted to collect about $2,2-billion in tax revenue this year.
